My wishes were answered on Wednesday, Aug. 13 when my water broke @ 7:30a. I let the dogs out and fixed myself a protein shake after calling my hubby (who had just started training his first client of the day.) I called a friend to take me to the hospital. Got there at 8:30a, hubby got there shortly after us, my doctor got there at 9:30a-ish, just as I was getting settled into delivery. Because my contractions were all over the place (I didn't really have any til my water broke) she wanted to give me pitocin, I went ahead and agreed cause I just wanted to get the whole pregnancy thing over and done with...lol... OY! After 2 hours of contractions I cried "UNCLE" except that it sounded more like "EPIDURAL!!!!" Laughing out loud The anesthesiologist had it in in under 5 minutes...after that it heaven. I sat back and watched the Olympics and then the re-broadcast of Tues.' Dodger's game...lol... My only complaint was that I was STARVING!!! My stomach kept growling... I sent hubby for lunch and whithin a half hour of him getting back the nurse declared that it was time for me to push. She called my doctor and within 15 minutes of starting to push I had Madi...lol... (They told me I could eat as soon as I popped her out so you know I made short work of it...lol...) It was so easy! Course that might be because I couldn't really feel anything.

I opted to spend only 1 day in the hospital. I am an insomniac so I got NO sleep while there. So now Madi and I are home resting. I'll keep you updated on how things are going. Smiling
